I know the challenges of difficult negotiations from my own time as a lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Germany and China, my client secondment in the corporate legal department of E.ON AG and many years of collaboration in consulting projects and workshops worldwide. For more than ten years, I have been working with management, purchasing, sales, legal departments, M&A departments, venture capital funds and start-ups to optimise their negotiation skills and negotiation results. During this time, I have worked in over 25 countries on four continents and have worked with over 150 clients and over 6,000 negotiators.

I am an honorary professor for negotiation and mediation at the University of Bonn Law School and also teach negotiation at various other universities (e.g. Humboldt University Berlin, Bucerius Law School Hamburg, University of Augsburg) and in various executive education programmes (e.g. Witten MBA, University of Muenster LL.M./EMBA Mergers & Acquisitions).

I am a graduate of Harvard Law School (LL.M.), King’s College London (M.A. econ), the University of Bonn (Dr. iur.) and various negotiation programmes (e.g. Wharton Business School/University of Pennsylvania, Saïd Business School/Oxford University).
